Mandrakia

Mandrakia

Mandrakia is a picturesque fishing village located on the northern coast of Milos, approximately 4 kilometers from Plaka, the island’s capital. The village is renowned for its traditional “syrmata”—whitewashed fishermen’s houses featuring brightly colored doors and boat garages on the ground floor, nestled around a small circular harbor.

A notable landmark in Mandrakia is the church of Zoodohos Pigi, which overlooks the village and offers scenic views of the Aegean Sea. For dining, the village is home to Medusa, a popular restaurant known for its fresh seafood and stunning seaside vistas.

While Mandrakia itself doesn’t have a significant beach, its charm lies in the authentic atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and traditional architecture. Nearby attractions include the famous Sarakiniko Beach and the fishing village of Firopotamos, both offering unique experiences characteristic of Milos.
